In the Spring of 2019, we set out to prove to a younger Crate and Barrel customer that it is the place where they can find exactly what they need to reflect their unique and evolving style. Our spots shined a light on the insight that we all have things in our home we’ve held onto for too long. While these style stowaways may not always be noticeable to others, to us they can feel like a major eyesore and something that weighs down the potential of that room. In our hero spot, “In With The You,” Reese Witherspoon uses her charm, positive spirit and a bit of magic to show us how those eyesores can become an opportunity for an easy refresh that better suits our style with Crate and Barrel. We followed the campaign launch with a two-part video series in which we took Reese off-set and into the homes of two real Crate and Barrel customers who were in need of their own decor refresh. Reese helps them identify how their style has evolved and choose an old item to replace with the equivalent of something fresh and new from Crate and Barrel that better reflects their space and style. All videos ran online and in social media.
